Mr. Hood is an experienced operating executive with a successful track record of growing businesses, capital formation, M&A, and human capital leadership in high-growth companies.
Prior to Mr. Hood’s most recent role as Finance Senior Fellow at the United States Military Academy, Mr. Hood was a Partner and Head of Asset Management at Perella Weinberg Partners, a global financial services firm. After helping to found the firm, Mr. Hood also held various leadership roles within Perella Weinberg, including as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Asset Management. Previously, Mr. Hood worked as a leveraged finance investment banker at Morgan Stanley, serving a variety of energy industry clients. Before beginning his successful career in finance and asset management, Mr. Hood served as a Captain and Lieutenant in the United States Army Corps of Engineers for 5 years, holding leadership roles in the United States and Europe. Mr. Hood received his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr. Hood also sat on the boards of Fortress Value Acquisition Corporation I and II and serves as a Strategic Advisor to a Texas-based silica sand company.
